The Group meets on Wednesday afternoon in Standlake Village Hall between 2 - 4 pm

Standlake Art Group was started in 1991 when a number of like minded people agreed that they would enjoy an opportunity to meet informally for a couple of hours each week to paint.

The Group consists predominantly of ladies, with widely varying levels of experience, who enjoy watercolour, oil, acrylic, silk and Chinese brush painting, pastels and sketching. Various speakers are invited to demonstrate and advise, trips are organised to Art Exhibitions, Galleries and Museums, and outside painting venues add to the variety of experiences.

Paintings are exhibited regularly in the local library and an Art Exhibition is held annually at Standlake Village Hall, when approximately 100 pictures are displayed for sale.

We would be delighted to welcome new members - no experience is necessary. Basic instruction is available or you can paint whatever you wish.
