There has still been no response from OCC to the letters mentioned below
On the 10th July, the Parish Council was briefed by OCC, at their request, on proposed 'mitigation' measures to reduce the impact of traffic following the construction of a new crossing. That any decision has been made was hotly denied by the OCC representaives. The council made clear, yet again, that there was intense opposition to a new bridge and the present bridge should be protected so that it can continue to carry light traffic.
Click here for the council's response to the mitigation measures and click here for the council's letter to OCC Environment and Economy expressing its dissatisfaction at events so far and restating its position.
The council is also dissatisfied with the progress on enforcement of the existing weight limit. Click here for recent email correspondence with Trading Standards
